magicSometimes, magic happens.

Sharing a little story my friend, Oriah Mountain Dreamer,  posted on Facebook about how prayers are sometimes answered in unexpected ways. Her lesson is different than what we  know about the unexpected benefit of some unanswered prayers. Her experience illustrates that magic can illuminate and make happen things we haven’t even thought of. It points out the magic, the serendipity of life. We just have to be awake to notice it.

But then again, I don’t want to spoil the surprise. Read her very helpful post here, peruse her site, and if you’re interested to see a book of hers that I read way back and never forgot, it’s this one.   I’ve given it as a gift more than once. But the truth is, it’s been a gift to ME.

I love Oriah. I’ve read her books for more than two decades and an afternoon I spent with her in real life over a pot of tea was one of the most delightful I’ve ever spent. We simply could not stop talking with each other!

These days, I like to sit in my house with a cup of tea and one of her books. I have them all, of course. You should check them out.

Oh, and don’t forget to check out her post on magic in the first link! And why not follow her blog?

Thanks, dear Oriah, for permission to repost.
