fearFear can strike any time. Often, it’s in the dark of the night.

It’s normal to be afraid when you are facing a tough diagnosis or when someone dies.

Some of us let that fear consume us. Friends who are facing difficult cancers know this.

Another friend told me that fear can be kept at bay by spiritual belief.

Bingo!

When we forget that our human bodies are just shells for our spirit, fear can take over. We worry about what will happen: will they die? will we die? will we suffer?

We worry and worry about what will happen in the future and in the process, we have trouble living in today.

If we can feel who we really are–spirits in human form–we may be surprised at how our feelings change.

May our worst fears will come true or maybe they won’t.

But one thing is for sure: you are here now. So breathe in peace and relaxation and breathe out your fears. Just for a moment.

And then another.

Breathe.
