It’s been my experience that intent is everything and what goes around, comes around. It may take a while., But in the end, karma is in charge. Even if it takes a while.
When it comes to karma, intent is the biggest factor. Sometimes people hurt another without meaning to. Maybe they’re just not thinking it through.
Other times, yes, they mean to. Sometimes, people really can be cruel. Know, though, that it is unlikely to have anything to do with you. Cruelty is about the person doing it.
However:
Karma’s not punishment. Or revenge.
It’s about learning the lessons presented. And if the lesson isn’t learned, we (or “they”) get another try. And another. Until the lesson is learned.
So if you think karma has skipped someone, rest assured it has not.
What goes around ALWAYS comes around.
You can count on it.

Totally believe in karma. And yes sometimes it does feel like it has skipped someone and then eventually karma bits them on the bum!
Sometimes, in the case of our administration and his family, it doesn’t feel like Karma comes comes around or makes an impact in any possible way.
Karma is the ultimate balance factor for everything. Even science has it proven with protons and electrons. That said, I would love to hear more about getting in touch with my spiritual side.
This is such a good explanation about the word karma. Yes, it is true that others think about it as a revenge or punishment but I love your explanation that it is a way of learning from the things that you’ve done before it is either a good or a bad things.
As Hindus, we definitely believe in Karma. Karma helps us want to be better people too because we know what goes around comes around.
Personally, I don’t believe in karma…but I do believe in passing-it-forward.
Excellent viewpoint. I love where you are coming from with this. Thanks for the encouraging words!!
So true. I’ve always believed in the law of karma. 🙂
Karma is sometimes a wonderful thing and sometimes and awful thing. But hey, what’s fair is fair!
I do believe this as well! What goes around does come around and it’s not about vengeance, it’s about balance 🙂
I like the concept of what goes around comes around. I do think you reap what you sow in life.
As you say, it may appear that Karma missed a few people, but eventually it does find them.
I couldn’t agree more – what goes around will 100% come around, it just takes time and the thing is, the person you think karma skipped, well are you with them 24/7 to see some of the negative aspects of their lives, NOPE?! So it very well may have hit them!
It is about intention definitely, karma is about the energy and intention you put out into the world.
Yep! You reap what you sow for sure and bad behavior generates hard lessons (usually).
Wow this is deep. you can learn about your karametic debts from another life time that is truly interesting!
I agree! It’s not all about punishments or revenge. We all should learn a lesson from everything we do.
So true. This is why we were taught to only spread kindness. It is not that you wish something bad to happen to those who wronged you, but in some way or another, they get an experience similar (or worse) than the one they put you through.
I think what goes around comes around generally works when it comes to most people. I try to build as much good karma as I can.
I always think karma is just getting back what you give out. A way of getting back the good and the bad.
This is a great take on karma. I’ve never really thought about it that way before. It makes a ton of sense.
As Mama used to say: ‘You reap what you sow!’ Some of those crops take a long time to harvest. But they ALWAYS get there!
I am counting on it as I have had a couple of great friends die way too young while other despicables breath another day!
Yup!
