I was rereading Conversations with God last month and this got my attention in a big way.
“We aren’t here to learn but to remind ourselves of what we already know.”
The author says that we’ve got everything we need to know–we came into the world with it. He says that God told him that we’re meant to put that knowledge to work to be our best selves.
Whoa! Reflect on that for a moment.
For a long time I’ve believed that we’re in Soul School here on earth. But this takes it to a different level, and one that resonates with me.
I’ve been in a reflective mood lately and these most recent posts have given us all an opportunity to pause for a moment and think about something. Like this.
Here’s the book, if you’re interested in knowing more about it.

Read this book a long time ago and really loved it. I’ll have to read it again with fresh eyes. I remember it was very insightful.
I haven’t read it yet, but it’s definitely on my list.
Three volumes, believe it or not.
If everyone believed we were in soul school, we would have heaven on earth. Why are so many people unable to see GOD and a SOUL in others? I just quoted someone this morning about how we are all connected. And we are. We all breathe and cry, have joys and pains. Wouldn’t that connectedness lead us to our Creator?
Everyone is on their own journey; some are down the road a bit further than others. Some have a really long way to go. It’s all part of the plan.
I can totally get behind that. My first reaction to the phrase was, “ I am here to experience earth life, and to use those experiences in order to improve.” But….your phrase is brilliant because that is exactly what I am doing. I am reminding myself (through earthly experiences) of what I have already been taught. Yes….that phrase is exactly right.and I love it.
I can’t take credit–God told the author those words! But we are all God, right? So maybe I did! ;-)) teasing of course!
